UrbanGranulate
Combining high load capacity with high soil volume content

The net soil volume in UrbanGranulate makes it more effective for tree growth compared to other types of structural soils. Structural soils, when compacted, generally have a pore volume of about 30%, resulting in a net soil volume of 20-25%. UrbanGranulate has a pore volume of 40%, resulting in a soil volume of 30%. For tree growth calculations, in addition to soil quality, also the net available soil volume (compacted at 1.5-2MPa penetration resistance) is important to be taken into account. Compared to standard structural soil, you need less volume of UrbanGranulate per tree to grow a similar tree size.

UrbanGranulate is different from standard GBSS. The use of a strong stone type, the sieving and the shape make UrbanGranulate applicable under heavily loaded roads, such as an urban access road, bus lane, industrial road or a busy square. Is processed most optimally in combination with UrbanSand 60-40 and possibly a sandwich construction. In most cases, an aeration system is recommended.
